Thank You Mr. President! No, Really, Thank You

I, your humble daily rant correspondent, and this may come as a shock for some of you, feel I must give credit where credits due. Thank you Mr. President.

The Obama Administration, even while bringing terrorists to the US for trial, is keeping up the fight against terrorist world wide. Although I yelled at the television while he held multiple consultations, one after the other, all the while delaying troop deployments to Afghanistan, and I must admit, I am teetering on thinking withdraw of ground troops might be a good idea, I have to thank him for his taking the fight to the terrorists in Yemen over the last few weeks.

Using CIA Operatives, Marine Corp air support, Special Forces advisors to Yemeni ground troops and a nice supply of cruise missiles, military operations targeting Al Qaeda hideouts and a training camp in Yemen have left up to 34 terrorists dead, including four would-be ultimate coward/homicide/suicide bombers, and led to the arrest of 17 others.

Provincial security official Saleh el-Shamsy said air strikes followed by a ground operation targeting a training camp in Abyan province south of San’a killed 30 suspected militants.

Separately, the Interior Ministry said operations were carried out, also Thursday, in areas outside San’a, killing four would-be ultimate coward/homicide/suicide bombers and arresting 17 terrorists. The ultimate coward/homicide/suicide bombers were in the Arhab district northeast of the capital.

This is a very good step in the right direction for the Obama Administration, in my humble opinion. Helping out in that area is of vital importance to us all, especially in Yemen, which has a weak central government and a growing Al Qaeda presence.

I like the idea of pounding the living snot out of this scum. Cruise missiles, smart bombs and even a good old B-52 carpet bombing of their areas is what they deserve. As I said above, I am starting to think that boots on the ground, year after year, going door to door is not the answer. Keep the drones flying and the satellites orbiting above these hot spots and give those areas free home makeover’s, compliments of the United States Air Force, Navy, Marine Corp and Army. If they can’t drive, walk or even bicycle around without worrying about a 2000 lb JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition, Smart bomb) through their nice new biking helmet, it would slow them I think.

But, thankfully, I am not a military strategist, and I get to leave those decisions to better qualified folks. But again, I think we should back up the locals and let them fight amongst themselves for the control of their neighborhoods and local government.

I know that if Chinese or Russian soldiers were moving through my town, walking into my home and stopping my car and patting me down any time they wanted, I too would be inclined to fight back, if just for the principle of it all. I hope all you Patriots would too. I also am counting on the fact they you, as Patriots, will never stand for a military or law enforcement presence patrolling our cities, towns and countryside, keeping the peace as they would tell you.

Remember, when the government tells you not to worry, WORRY. When they tell you it is to protect you, WORRY.

Do yourselves and all of the future Patriots you may teach and bring into the fold, get a copy of the constitution, read it, share it and learn what the founding fathers meant when they gave it to us to keep safe. Too many rights have already been trampled upon in the past, it is time to stop the decaying of our freedoms now. Get involved.

  1. From Karl,
The following article might help in your personal debate over the insanity of our nation-building efforts in Afghanistan: I say nation-building because it’s already been publicly stated by administration, defense and intelligence officials that there are “no more than 100 al Qaeda members still in Afghanistan.” Gee, let’s see…more than $100 billion spent per year (let alone the cost in totally useless human suffering, death and destruction) to chase 100 al Qaeda out of Afghanistan and into Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia, North Africa, the Philippines, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and God knows where else on this insane planet. How about if we just use the old Jeffersonian (and perfectly constitutional) strategy of granting “Letters of Marque and Reprisal” (more commonly known as ‘bounties’) for every al Qaeda head brought in on a platter? At a measly million dollars per head, that’s still a savings of more than $900 million in just one year.

It’s been stated by leading military authorities that “nation-building” in Afghanistan would require a minimum of 5 years at troop levels triple the number we have in theater now, followed by a decades-long occupation. What in the hell do we think we’re doing? We can’t even fund our own freakin’ state governments and we’re going to try to print trillions of worthless dollars to pay for bleepin’ nation-building in Afghanistan?

Don’t know if you saw this article: “Arizona Could Be Weeks Away From Going Broke” ( And California may not be too far behind: “What Happens When California Defaults?” ( Meanwhile, Zero & Co. continue to talk up more stimulus, more spending on completely counterproductive housing bailouts (, and toss around trillions of dollars like it’s just Monopoly money. The really scary thing is what happens when Uncle Sam goes the way of AZ and CA:,-Where-Were-Heading-2010.html
