Obama Administration has gone way, way out of its way to cower to the Muslim Nations and Muslim’s in general worldwide since coming into office. Although it is a good thing to start relations with nations that have been at odds with the United States, it is another thing entirely to show them weakness and subservience and to refer to as equal their completely different political and religious ways of life as to our own.
Islam has a place in the United States. Everyone here is free to lead their life as they see fit. But one thing is for sure, America is a Judeo-Christian based Republic and all three of these, Judeo, Christian and Republic can never coexist with a Sharia Law based political/religion such as Islam.
The two opposing civilizations can only exist where Judeo-Christian values are the dominate view and religion because there is no room in Islam for other religions, freedom of choice and free speech. Just ask those in Iran, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.
Here are the reasons why the current administration is completely wrong in their refusal to call this a war on Islamic Terrorists and in their wanting to bring terrorists to America, paying for their defense, treating them as common criminals and treating the war against Islamists as a street crime.
Muhammad ibn ‘Abdull?h (c. 570 – 632) is the prophet and founder of Islam. Muslims view him not as the creator of a new religion, but as the restorer of the original, uncorrupted monotheistic faith of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and others. In Muslim tradition, Muhammad is viewed as the last and the greatest in a series of prophets. Beginning at age 40, Muhammad reported receiving revelations from God. The content of these revelations, known as the Qur’an, was memorized and recorded by his companions.
By the late 9th century, Islam entered into its Golden Age stretching from The Atlantic Ocean on the west, Spain & Portugal to the Eastern side of the Baltic Sea, south to Sub-Saharan Africa and Persia in the east. At the height of its power (16th–17th century under the Ottoman’s), it spanned three continents, controlling much of Southeastern Europe, Western Asia and North Africa.
Starting in the 9th century, Muslim conquests in the West began to be reversed. The Reconquista was launched in Spain and Portugal, cumulating with the retaking of Granada Spain by Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492. The Italian possessions were lost to the Normans.
From the 11th century onwards European Christian kingdoms launched a series of wars known as the Crusades, within the eastern part of the former Roman Empire, especially in the Holy Land. Initially successful they established the Crusader states, these gains were later reversed by subsequent Muslim generals such as Saladin, who recaptured Jerusalem in 1187.
The Ottoman Empire was an empire that lasted from 1299 to November 1, 1922 as an imperial monarchy or July 24, 1923 as a state. It was succeeded by the Republic of Turkey, which was officially proclaimed on October 29, 1923.
The Barbary Corsairs, or Barbary Pirates, were Muslim pirates who operated from North Africa from the11th century until the early 19th century. Based in North African ports they sailed mainly along the stretch of northern Africa known as the Barbary Coast.
During a meeting in 1786, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams met with an ambassador from Tripoli. When asked why his government attacked American ships, he told them “it was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave.”
America lead the way in two Barbary Wars, 1801 -1815. The United States Marine Corps actions in these wars led to the line “to the shores of Tripoli” in the opening of the Marine Hymn. Marines’ uniforms had a leather high collar to protect against cutlass slashes. This led to the nickname Leatherneck for U.S. Marines.
The Obama Administration has opened up to Muslims to be included in it.
Dr. Ebrahim “Eboo” Patel was named to White House advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. Community organizing for Muslims.
Dalia Mogahed, a hijab-clad American Muslim, joined Dr. Patel as the first Muslim woman appointed to a position in President Barack Obama’s administration. She heads up a newly-formed interfaith advisory board the administration hopes will improve relations with Muslims in the US and across the globe.
Secretary of State Clinton appointed Farah Pandith as a special representative to Muslim communities. “I’m an American Muslim, and … that’s the lens with which I look at things,” It is good for her to do this but not as a show of weakness.
Hopefully these are good things in the overall scope of America. Some tend to get caught up in Islamphobia by thinking everything about Islam and Muslim’s is evil. There is great evil in Islam. But it is done by people.
President George W. Bush said repeatedly that we all worship the same God. Although Muslims say that their faith is based on the earlier scriptures, they took a deviation that separates and distinguishes their God from the God of Christians.
Christians believe that Jesus of Nazareth, whom we call the Christ or Messiah, was the fulfillment of all of the previous holy writings of the Bible. We believe that he was God incarnate, the Son of God the Second person of the Trinity of the being with is God, born of a virgin mother, that he lived a sinless life and performed miracles. We also believe that Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary, was buried and rose from the dead 3 days later and ascended into Heaven and rules at the right hand of God. We believe that he was the sacrificial atonement for all of man kinds sins IF, and only IF they believe that about him and accept that his life, death and resurrection was the only way for mankind to have forgiveness and have eternal life with God.
Islam does not believe that he was the Son of God. They believe that he was only the prophet that preceded Muhammad. They believe that he will return at the end time. Muslim’s believe that Jesus, (or Isa in Arabic) was a prophet of ONE God not a Trinity, that Mary, (or Maryam in Arabic) was a chaste, virgin woman, who miraculously gave birth to Jesus. Muslims also believe that Jesus (Isa) spoke as an infant in the cradle, and that he performed miracles even as a young child.
Muslims do not believe in the Trinity:
Qur’an 4:171, “The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger of God… and do not say: ‘God is a Trinity.’ Give up this assertion; it would be better for you. God is indeed just One God. Far be it from His glory that He should have a son.”
Muslims do not believe that Jesus was the son of God:
Qur’an 112:1-4,”Say: “God is Unique! God, the Source of everything. He has not fathered anyone nor was He fathered, and there is nothing comparable to Him!”
Qur’an 19:34-35,”Such was Jesus, the son of Mary; it is a statement of truth, about which they vainly dispute. It is not befitting to the majesty of God, that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! When He determines a matter, He only says to it, ‘Be’ and it is”
Muslims do not believe Jesus was killed on the cross then resurrected:
Qur’an 4:156 ““They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but they thought they did.”
Qur’an 4:157 “God lifted him up to His presence. God is Almighty, All-Wise”.
These two differing views keep Islam and Christianity from worshipping the same God. They keep them from having the same God. That is a lie that has been spread by politicians and by those that are ignorant of the truth. Usama Bin Laden does not believe he worships the same God as Christians rest assured.
Can both religions coexist? Yes and no. In western, Judeo-Christian based countries where all are free to worship as they see fit, a resounding YES. In Islamic nations where Islam is the political and religious law the answer is NO.
