Today is a bitter sweet time at our home here in Texas. On Monday, July 12th, 2010 our son left for San Diego and the United States Marine Corp boot camp there. It is hard enough letting go of your only child much less seeing him swear in and ship off to boot camp where he will be for the next 13 weeks.

The Marines are different from the service that they were when I grew up. Today, they are pretty strict about whom they will let in. Gone are the days when you could send your problems children off for them to fix. Today, a Marine recruit has to be a high school graduate with good grades, have no record at all with the police and never have had problems with drugs or alcohol.

I have to admit, it was pretty emotional for us both. Even I was close to letting the tears flow as we said goodbye. After having him around for so long, not being able to speak to him for the next 13 weeks is going to be tough. But we are more than proud of our son. Pride doesn’t even come close to the true meaning of the honor and the privilege that it has been for me to be his dad.

I say I’m his dad and he is my son, but in reality, he is my step son. I meet him when he was 9 years old after I met his momma. We hit it off right from the start and have become very close over the last 9 ½ years. I miss him and his smiling happy face so much already that I know it is going to be hard till we see him a graduation in October. Ooh Rah, Jarod, Semper Fi!

Which leads me to my point today, the honor and privilege was bestowed upon me by his mom and her family. It was not something that I deserved or was entitled to. That is the problem with our society in general today, everyone seems to feel or think that they are entitled to everything.

It seems most prevalent in our Congress and White House. These people seem to think that they are the ruling elite and that we are their serfs and subjects. When it comes to Commander’s in Chief, it seems, at least to me, that since I was born (1961), there have only been 2 Presidents that saw the title and position of President of the United States as an Honor and a Privilege.

This is just my humble opinion but those 2 were President Ronald Wilson Reagan and President George W. Bush. People can be judged by their actions. Neither one of these men was perfect nor saints but I know that they saw their positions as leaders of the free world as an honor and a privilege. Kennedy didn’t seem to honor, neither did Nixon, Carter or Clinton. As for Ford, who knows? George H.W. Bush, although I like him a lot and respect him, he didn’t seem to honor the privilege as much as he expected it. It seemed as if it was more like it was his turn. I still really like him though.

Then we have the current resident at the columned white building in D.C. Does anyone see anything resemblance of his holding his office with honor and respect and seeing it as a privilege to serve us, you and me? I didn’t think so. He see it as his right and that he deserves to be there and while there, he is going to use his position to punish America for what it has done to minorities and third world peoples. Why would they say that they will only prosecute whites for voter fraud and intimidation? Why would he have NASA become a self help organization for the Muslim world? Why would he take G.M. and Chrysler from the people that owned it and give it to his Union bosses?

Well, those in the military, all of them not just Marines and those that serve in law enforcement and fire protection are people that deserve our honor and privilege. All of them stand upon the walls that surround our free land. They protect us from those outside that would do us harm. Let’s return the honor and privilege and make a clean sweep of Congress and the Executive Branch as soon as we can.

During this weekend in which we celebrate our nation’s heritage and its birth as an independent Republic, it is necessary to reiterate our true source of freedom. It is something that a true understanding of is more need now than ever before.

Our nation was founded on the principles of God given freedoms. It was founded on the fact that God himself guarantees us these inalienable rights and they can never be taken from us by man. Even if those men and women believe that they know better than we do, and for that matter, better than the Founding Fathers of this Republic, the greatest nation on God’s green earth.

The Constitution does not give us the rights we enjoy. Our constitution guarantees our rights as given to us by God himself. Not from the writers of the constitution. Natural Law was used as a component in United States Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

Lex Naturalis or Natural law or the law of nature is a theory that puts forth the existence of a law that is set by nature and that therefore has validity everywhere. Natural law is often and can be opposed to the positive law, the man-made laws of a society, or nation, and can be a standard with which to criticize those laws.

Natural law theories have had a huge influence on the development of English common law, and therefore were also important influences in the philosophies of

Thomas Aquinas (Italian Roman Catholic Dominican Priest 1225-1274),
Francisco Suárez (Spanish Roman Catholic Jesuit Priest 1548-1617),
Richard Hooker (English Theologian 1554- 1600),
Thomas Hobbes (English philosopher 1588 –1679, His 1651 book Leviathan established the foundation for most of Western political philosophy),
Hugo Grotius (Dutch Republic Jurist 1583 –1645, he laid the foundations for international law, based on natural law),
Samuel von Pufendorf (German Jurist 1632 – 1694 Please look him up and read his writings),
John Locke (English Physician and Philosopher 1632 – 1704, one of the most influential of Enlightenment thinkers, his contributions to classical republicanism and liberal theory are reflected in the American Declaration of Independence.)
Emmerich de Vattel (Swiss philosopher, diplomat, and legal expert 1714 –1767) his theories laid the foundation of modern international law and political philosophy.

This argument is used most often used in regards to the right of self defense and the 2nd Amendment. The right of self defense is the most basic right in all of nature. Regardless of whether or not the government “allows” oneself to carry arms, it is basic human and natural instinct to defend life, liberty and property. Go hiking in the mountains and encroach upon a mother bear and her cubs. She will perform for you the basic law of self protection without waiting to ask.

When those in the media or government tell you we no longer have need or right to keep and bear arms because society has now reached a state making it unnecessary, think of the mother bear. And it is not only in the mountains where you can meet with the barbarism of nature. Right in our sophisticated urban areas, and in small quiet townships, you can meet nature at its absolute most barbaric.

Natural Law is what the Constitution of The United States guarantees to you. Remember this when you vote. Remember it when speaking to liberals who think that we 2nd Amendment believers are cavemen. Remind them that an unarmed person is a peasant and an armed person is a citizen. The 2nd amendment is the guarantor of all the other rights in our land. Protect it.

We must preserve our gift of freedom today and every day. Fight those that seek to take our freedoms away from us. And they are trying and succeeding, inch by inch. They keep us divided by side issues. How many of you non gun owners or non hunters have said, “I don’t care about gun issues because I don’t like guns”? That’s not quite the point now is it?

Let’s ask it this way, how many of you agree with the following statements?

“Enjoyment of the rights and freedoms of citizens must not be to the detriment of the interests of society or the state.”

“Citizens…have the right to work, that is, are guaranteed the right to employment and payment for their work in accordance with its quantity and quality. The right to work is ensured…the elimination of the possibility of economic crises, and the abolition of unemployment.”

Citizens …have the right to maintenance in old age and also in case of sickness or loss of capacity to work. This right is ensured…at state expense, free medical service for the working people and the provision of a wide network of health resorts for the use of the working people.

Citizens…have the right to education. This right is ensured by universal, compulsory elementary education; by education, including higher education, being free of charge…

The citizens…are guaranteed by law:
freedom of speech; freedom of the press; freedom of assembly, including the holding of mass meetings; freedom of street processions and demonstrations. These civil rights are ensured…”

A show of hands, how many of you agree with these words which were included in the nations Constitution. If you raised your hands in agreement, please keep yourself after class and learn your Constitution. These are not from our Constitution; they are from the 1936 CONSTITUTION OF THE USSR!

Please, please, please, engage yourselves in this fight for our freedoms and rights before it is too late. The current administration is counting the fact that we are complacent and disengaged. They are counting on us to be preoccupied with oil spills and Blago and that we are not watching every move by the current occupiers of DC and their stealing our lives, fortunes and futures.

Thomas Jefferson understood that “a free people claim their rights as derived from the laws of nature, and not as the gift of their chief magistrate.” He believed freedom was a right, not a privilege granted by a king, a parliament, a legislature or a Congress or Supreme Court.

The Declaration of Independence calls upon the people to exercise the unique ability and duty to revolt if and when liberties are seized by government. As Jefferson once asked, “What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?”

Jefferson also said, “Most bad government has grown out of too much government.” For 234 years these words have been fought and died for, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

Thank our Father in Heaven for the life of Thomas Jefferson and thank Jefferson and his fellow Founders for giving us the Declaration and Constitution. We all wish a Happy Birthday to our beloved Columbia, The United States of America.

The United States Constitution and its Second Amendment

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

These words seem clear enough to most Americans. Most Americans that is, except those that we send to Washington DC or to state capitals and city conceals and as Mayors. What is it about being elected to public office that turns people into idiots and thieves? It seems to be almost impossible to keep elected officials from become one or the other, an idiot or a thief.

Amendment 2 – Right to Bear Arms. Ratified 12/15/1791.
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

There are some that manage to keep themselves but they seem to be few and far between and are becoming scarcer by the day. One obvious case in point would be the recent vote by members of the Supreme Court.

This week, the court ruled 5 to 4 that a 76-year-old African-American Democrat who lives in Chicago, can own a handgun. Otis McDonald, a retired working-class guy, sued the city for taking away his right to protect himself. McDonald was straight to the point, He said his neighborhood is full of thugs who threaten his well-being and the city cannot control the situation. So he has to protect himself from harm.

But in a vote that totally disregards the Constitution of the United States, Justices John Paul Stevens, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg told Mr. McDonald and the American people to shove it. They stated that guns cause a lot of damage to society; therefore, if a city wants to ban them, it can. But that is a policy belief, instead of just following the law, is it not? What about, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed?

Where in the Constitution does it say that if guns become a menace to society they can be banned? Where does it say in the Constitution that if 4 or 5 people, given a position where they are almost immune for reproach, can take a fundamental Natural Law, which is guaranteed in the Constitution and throw it our because they have a different political beliefs than those of the Founding Fathers? What about, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed? I ask this again.

The Founding Fathers well understood the need for individual protection. Under King George, British soldiers routinely threw Colonial families out of their homes using a bogus law called the “Quartering Act.” Because of that, the founding Fathers gave us the 3rd Amendment,
Amendment 3 – Quartering of Soldiers. Ratified 12/15/1791.
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

In order to ensure that and to give Americans a way of protecting themselves against that infringement, they gave us the 2nd Amendment. The 2nd Amendment is there to protect Americans. It allows them to protect themselves, their families, their friends and their property from those, ANY, “THOSE” that might seek to deny or take away any of the freedoms or security that Americans enjoy and are guaranteed.

There are 4 Supreme Court Justices that don’t believe in the rule of law. There are 4 Supreme Court Justices that don’t believe in the Constitution and there are 4 Supreme Court Justices that don’t believe in the traditions and freedoms of America. What if it had been 5 instead of 4?

What if there had been just one more of these usurpers of freedom and haters of our Republic? What then? Where do we go from there? Do we just give in to their totalitarian demands and burn the Constitution and give up our freedoms? After the 2nd Amendment is abolished, how do you as an average American protect your other freedoms?

These people are already trying to force you to buy health insurance. These people are already making you work Monday, Tuesday and part of Wednesday to pay for what they want to spend the money you worked for on. Think about that, you work 2 1/2 days a week, a full 130 days a year for them. Where do they stop if we can’t defend ourselves?

And what about those that live close to our nations borders. With a political regime in place that refuses to protect America and Americans, how can Americans protect themselves from illegals, drug smugglers, human smugglers and criminals if our government is standing firmly against Americans on this issue? There are already dead Americans because of these people in Washington. How many more dead Americans will it take until Americans say, that’s enough?

Plug the damn hole. Obama Rising and his true lies to the American people

Recently our beneficent leader rattled off those words. What exactly did he mean and why did his “private” utterance become so public so quickly? Well, as with all these people in Washington, they only left loose with these types of comments if they want someone to hear. And he wanted all of us to hear this and assume that he was right in the middle of it.

Was he talking about “plugging the damn hole” in the floor of the Gulf of Mexico? One would assume so but his actions and those of his minions, oops, pardon me, subordinates, show that they really aren’t that interested in “plugging that damn hole”.

All of the administrations actions seem to be the direct opposite of what people on the ground in the Gulf States want or need. Case in point was the life jacket incident. Really, was the most important thing for the Coast Guard to do right then and there? Another, not allowing foreign ships to help out in the skimming and clean up. Why?

And why ignore La. Gov. Bobby Jindal’s and all of his suggestions and requests? Is it because Jindal is a Republican or perhaps it’s something more unforgivable than that. Maybe this just plays in to his Cap and Trade scheme?

Maybe he was talking about “plugging the damn hole” at our borders. That’s rich! There hasn’t been a President interested in controlling the flow of illegal’s into our nation since President Reagan. And even his solutions turned out not to be solutions even though the attempt was noble.

With all of the current regime’s rhetoric and slight of hand, and sad to say, the former regime of George W. Bush’s as well, you would think that American national politicians cared about securing our Republic. But that doesn’t seem to matter to these people. It’s only about getting new voters for their side and spreading the wealth, your wealth around. But please don’t let that bother you because their wealth will be safe. Remember, they will screw you and pass the savings on to others.

I have a different “plug the damn hole” in mind. How about “plug the damn PIE hole in their faces? Americans are sick and tired of hearing this President, his spokespeople, RINO Republicans and the left wing liberals talk talk talk. Just shut up why don’t you?

Leave the microphones and if you must do something, secure the border. Don’t tell us we are racists because we love our nation. Don’t tell us we are mean because we want illegals caught, sent home or prosecuted. Plug the damn hole in the middle of your faces till you act like the person you should be. The person that took the oath of office to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Till, “Plug the Damn Hole!
