Recalled to Life, slight return.

A little over a year ago, I published the main portion of this article. After reading through it again, I felt it was important to share it with you all again. Over the past few months, additional recipients of the e-mails and on-line readers have been added and have joined and subscribed to these daily rants. I welcome you all to the fold of concerned Fellow Patriots.

We all are aware of the changes that our great Republic has undergone over the course of mainly the past 2 years, but in truth, over the span of our lifetime. In the past, before the modern age of Twitter, facebook, the internet and e-mails, 24 hour news channels, we were just members of the American herd, working hard everyday, nose to the grind stones, so to speak. We did our duties, and at evening, we turned to the 3 trusted purveyors of what we thought was honest news. We have since learned that that was just an illusion.

Then, “we saw through a glass, darkly”, to borrow from the King James Bible. But now, “face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” We see the world more clearly than we have in the past. Most importantly, we see our Republic for what it has become and how it has been driven in that direction.

Once again, welcome to those that are new, hello to those of the fold. The rants had become infrequent do to personal and business demands but those demands have lessened somewhat and the daily rants will return to their previous schedule.

“Recalled to Life”
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,
it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness,
it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair,
we had everything before us, we had nothing before us,
we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way.”

These are the famous lines which open “A Tale of Two Cities”. The story shows the great contrast between love and family, on the one hand, and oppression and hatred, on the other. I see it as also an allegory for our place and time. Our love for our Republic and our disdain for what it has become.

Everyday it seems as if the left has something else up their sleeves in their push to fundamentally change what have been the most free, the most kind and the most prosperous nation that has ever been on this earth.

Many of us now feel, and in “us” I am referring to those of us that consider the nation and its history to be one of greatness, that our Republic and the future of it and our children are headed for disaster at the hands of those currently in control of it. We are standing up now and paying attention and we are seeing the country as we have known it disappearing from view.

It hasn’t disappeared as of yet and if we, you and I stand together in this fight, we can change the course it is on. It still can be the best of times as long as we do everything we can to return it to the Constitutional Republic that it was founded on. It is an age of wisdom for us when we are re-learning or learning for the first time just how remarkable our Founding Fathers actually were.

It can still be an epoch of belief in the goodness that the people of the United States have been throughout its life, protectors of the free, deliverers of the oppressed. Sure, we have had our moments of darkness but we have long been a season of Light for the huddled masses longing for freedom. We still are a beacon of hope to the entire world.

The times are tough now and we have to be ever vigilant in this fight because those that wish to fundamentally change our country are organized and dedicated to their efforts. One thing we need to remember is that those that disagree with us, are not thinking that they are perpetrating an evil deed on us, they believe they are doing right. They feel as passionate and righteous in their ways as we do in ours.

They believe, with all their hearts they are correct in their vision of fundamental change, and also that conservative, Constitution believing Americans are either, misguided or misinformed or just flat stupid. The majority of those that are defiantly trying to change this Republic truly believe in their hearts that the Tea Party people are just too dumb to understand that they have the right vision for our society and that YOU, are the problem, not the answer.

We have to remain true believers also. We know the truth. We believe in the truth. We have to constantly be ready to rally against the changes they wish to make and rebuff those that they already have. We have to get those in office to stand against everything that those in Washington DC are trying to do. We have to be the Party and People of NO! At least for now.

On April 14th 1859, Charles Dickens’ published “A Tale of Two Cities”
“I see a beautiful city and a brilliant people rising from this abyss, and, in their struggles to be truly free, in their triumphs and defeats, through long years to come, I see the evil of this time and of the previous time of which this is the natural birth, gradually making expiation for itself and wearing out. . . .”

We have to help those that are against us in their wearing out. We have to call them on their lies, deceits and dictatorial attitudes towards us. We have to not let them make their gradual atonement through repeated rewriting of our history and deeds. Stand for truth and it is what they will break themselves on.

“It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to than I have ever known.”

Hopefully we will not end as Sydney Carton did in the novel, but if we do; our fight will surely lead to the resurrection of not just our Republic, but the people of The United States of America as well. Stand and Deliver, Fight on Fellow Patriots

Natural Law and The Constitution

Stand for your natural rights, becuase no one else will

I have noticed that a lot of people, most notably our elected politicians need to be reminded of where our Constitutional rights came from. I am reposting this slightly edited article that I wrote in Dec. 2009 as a brief reminder to us, and to them. Enjoy my fellow Patriots.

While trolling about multiple websites, blogs and magazines as well as television and radio, I have noticed that many believe that our individual rights come from our wonderful constitution. And, in a sense, they are indeed correct. Except for the fact that constitution does not give us the rights we enjoy.

Our constitution guarantees our rights as given to us by God himself. Not from the writers of the constitution. Natural Law was used as a component in United States Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States.

Lex Naturalis or Natural law or the law of nature is a theory that puts forth the existence of a law that is set by nature and that therefore has validity everywhere. Natural law is often and can be opposed to the positive law, the man-made laws of a society, or nation, and can be a standard with which to criticize those laws.

Natural law theories have had a huge influence on the development of English common law, and therefore were also important influences in the philosophies of
Thomas Aquinas (Italian Roman Catholic Dominican Priest 1225-1274),
Francisco Suárez (Spanish Roman Catholic Jesuit Priest 1548-1617),
Richard Hooker (English Theologian 1554- 1600),
Thomas Hobbes (English philosopher 1588 –1679, His 1651 book Leviathan established the foundation for most of Western political philosophy),
Hugo Grotius (Dutch Republic Jurist 1583 –1645, he laid the foundations for international law, based on natural law),
Samuel von Pufendorf(German Jurist 1632 – 1694 PLEASE LOOK HIM UP),
John Locke (English Physician and Philosopher 1632 – 1704, one of the most influential of Enlightenment thinkers, his contributions to classical republicanism and liberal theory are reflected in the American Declaration of Independence. PLEASE READ HIS, TWO TREATISES OF GOVERNMENT,
Emmerich de Vattel (Swiss philosopher, diplomat, and legal expert 1714 –1767) his theories laid the foundation of modern international law and political philosophy.

I see this argument most often used in regards to the right of self-defense and the 2nd Amendment. The right of self-defense is the most basic right in all of nature. Regardless of whether or not the government “allows” oneself to carry arms, it is basic human and natural instinct to defend life, liberty and property. Go hiking in the mountains and encroach upon a mother bear and her cubs. She will perform for you this basic law of self-protection without waiting to ask a lawyer or politician about it. How is it that many Western nations and a number of American states not only do not recognize this but outlaw a persons right to self-defence?

When those in the media or government tell you we no longer have need or right to keep and bear arms because society has now reached a state making it unnecessary, think of the mother bear. And it is not only in the mountains where you may meet with the barbarism of nature. Right in our sophisticated urban areas, and in small quiet townships, you can meet nature at its absolute most barbaric. Try just south of the US border in a drug cartel control area and see if you keep your head. A true state of peace and contentment?

Natural Law is what the Constitution of The United States guarantees to you. Remember this when you vote. Remember it when speaking to liberals who think that we 2nd Amendment believers are cavemen. Remind them that an unarmed person is a peasant and an armed person is a citizen. The 2nd amendment is the guarantor of all the other rights in our land. Protect it.

A Further Downward Spiral

As the world seems to continue its further downward spiral, our nation and the Republic that it is, stands at a cross roads in history. Where we go from here is at best, a guess, a hope and even a dream.

For those of us that are right of center, the last 2 years have been short of a bloodless coupe by the Democrats, leftists, liberals, progressives and socialists. You would be hard pressed to ask any Tea Party member and find any outlook any rosier than that. Those that believe in individual liberties and responsibilities see their nation changing, day by day and inch by uncertain inch. They are afraid that the Republic that they knew and loved is sliding away into a new world order that ignores the individual, abolishes property rights, unarms its citizens and cow tows to every ethnic or racial group except for white, Angelo-Saxon, Christians.

For those that are left of center, the past 2 years have been the opportunity that they have dreamed of where they could finally push, or nudge this stubborn, hard headed and stony hearted nation of back woods rednecks into the 21st Century. They have used every opportunity to do just that. Whether it was down by hook or by crook, whether it was done by bending, breaking, changing, ignoring or making up new rules, they have pushed their agenda forward at such a fast pace, that those right of center are hard pressed just to keep up with it. They are afraid that if they don’t continue to push this progressive agenda forward at its break neck speed, their chance at merging our great, once in world history, individual liberty based Republic into a New World order now, while the nudging is good, will be lost. They see the door starting to creak its way back toward the closed minded, “USA,USA,USA”, chanting bigoted nation of fools again.

As for me, I have been away from the political bloging fray for sometime. Part of it was because it has a tendency to overwhelm one when completely engaged in it. Whether you are on the left or the right, the fight is one of continuous struggle just to keep up. When fully immerged in the fracas, seeing the forest from the trees is almost impossible. It is similar to a blind man looking shower head in a public shower room while everyone else is hitting him in the face with rolled up wet towels. You get where all you want to do is duck and cover. With out getting any feed back from those that are on ones own side of the issues, (and I have had hardly any except for 2 people that read me), you are left with only the slings and arrows from the opposing forces. That becomes disheartening and to say the least.

When engaging the opposing side in conversation, you get in return that you are just too stupid, ignorant, bigoted and narrow minded to even speak to. You are told that you are not worth speaking to because you are incapable of understanding and useless to waste breath on. I have been told that on a number of occasions. By public school teachers no less. Female public school teachers, (and I am not lumping all teachers into this category, just those that have attacked me, so please don’t be offended by this), within 3 exchanges on blogs become so overwhelmingly enraged and unhinged that they resort to calling me names and insulting me. Now, I am not saying that I don’t deserve it and that I am not a piss ignorant Neanderthal Son of A Bitch, I am just wondering how they figured it out so quickly. Girl friends come off the chain!!!

One of the first things they do is tell me just, how well educated they are, just how well read they are, just how enlightened they are. They tell me that conservative, Sarah Palin loving, Glenn Beck listening, Sean Hannity watching, Bush the baby killer voting, Michelle Bachman backing people are the worst excuse for human waste that has ever lived and doesn’t deserve to engaged them in conversation, mush less interfere with their agenda and way of thinking.

BUT, and this is a big but, we have all heard or seen the same thing come from a few, piss ignorant Neanderthal SOB’s on the right. RIGHT! Right? Well, maybe, but it is very few and far between when it comes to the average, everyday, Republic loving Patriots on the right. You will get a few and I have to admit, that damned Hannity drives you nuts trying to watch or listen to his show when he gets on a particular point. He is like a bored child picking at a scab. He stays on the issue and can’t seem to move on. And he won’t let anyone else speak, much less finish a point. But, as they say, I digress.

Spending time on some of the liberal blogs and web sites is a quite enlightening experience. Listening to liberal talk radio, is you can find, is as well. For those on the right that listen to their own right leaning radio, when you are listening to the left minded radio, you will notice something interesting. If you could remove the personal names of those that they are speaking of, say, for instance, remove Palin and Pelosi, remove Bachman and Reid, remove Hannity and Rhoads and remove Bush and Obama, you would say that each side says the same thing as the other, only the names have been changed. The callers and the host on the Randi Rhoads Show, have all the name calling, venom laced vitriol as do the callers and host on the Hannity radio show. I know, I listen to both.

The point of all of these inane ramblings of mine is this and I think it is something that we have been missing and is something that I am not sure can be worked out in the end. The conservative right and the progressive left are at cross purposes with regard to our nation. They see it from opposite sides, they want it to be opposite in its out come. The Left wants a progressive, European style society and the Right wants an individual liberty American style society.

Those on the Left think they are correct in their views and their way of thinking and that people on the Right are too stupid to understand, much less to have an engaged part in their society. Those on the Right think that the Constitution should be left alone and that those on the Left are misguided and can be taught to see the light and return to the center or the right way of thinking. Both sides are wrong.

Our country, our Republic, is split down its middle. Those on the Right will never come together with those on the Left. They are at odds with one another and they want 2 different outcomes. Where do we go from here? How does our republic survive? One thing is for sure, if the Right leaves it up to the Republican Party, the further downward spiral will continue, it will just be a slightly slower rate. Look how quickly the controllers of the GOP have tried to marginalize the freshman Tea Party congressmen. If it is given over to the Democrats and their left fringe, it will continue at the break neck speed that it has with Barack Hussein Obama at the controls. For right leaning conservatives, it doesn’t look good.

Best Regards,

Bruce Bowers

A Soul Unraveling.

Charlie Sheen, "I am losing my mind" Photo: Jackson Lee/Splash News

We all are being inundated by news story of Charlie Sheen and his down warded spiral into one outcome or another. Whether it is death or oblivion or redemption and renewal. At the moment, it doesn’t look good for the funny man actor. He is living the way he wants and to hell with everyone else.

As with every soul, there is hope for our friend Charlie. In this world we now live in, true redemption seems to be lost. We live in a culture that thinks as long as you haven’t murdered someone, well today at least, you’re a Christian. All you have to do to be one is say your one and bam, you are one. I personally consider those that believe in the way that Calvin, Luther and Augustine did, but who am I to judge? God will do that in the end.

Maybe Oprah can have Eckhart Tolle and Deepak Chopra come and do an intervention on him. Whether he becomes a Christian or just has his life saved by a good hearted porn star, we wish him well and hope that he doesn’t just join John candy and John Belushi as funny men we miss. Good luck Chuck.

This brings us to here. America is on the same downward spiral that Charlie is. Just watch Charlie in his ranting; just watch the protestors in the Wisconsin State house. They’re all the same. They are all addicted to the public teat. Whether it’s the admiring fans, paying Charlie 1 million dollars a week in salary or the protestors’ and their collective bargaining, high salaries, benefits and retirements. And its not just celebrities and union members, it is all of us.

I’m all for working people. I am one. But loud mouthed union thugs are the reason why right to work people dislike unions. It’s not the average person that belongs to one, it’s the ones that scream and well and curse and threaten that are the face on the unions. Those that refer to members as “workers” usually have an agenda that discredits the union in the eyes of non-union working people.

When the government employees make more in wags, and more in benefits and more in retirement than the tax paying non-union working people, can you not see why the average right to work American has had it with the union? Teachers, Firemen and Law Enforcement are hard working people. We need them and want them taken care of. I have no problem giving a good salary, good benefits and retirement. But there has to be a line drawn.

Tenure has to be done away with for everyone, unions need to be limited to individual businesses and not national or international because that breeds the Al Capone style of union leadership we have now. They are nothing but thieves and gangsters. The individual union members are good hard working people but their leadership is not.

Their leaders are using their members in the same way as Leon Trotsky was and when it comes time for the union leaders to cast the members aside, they will do the same to them as Stalin did to Trotsky. The jobs will go over seas, the American “workers” will live on unemployment and the working people of America will foot the bill for the union thugs to live in high style. Liberal union leaders are the ones that said “workers of the world unite, its not just a slogan anymore.”

I want union member “workers” to have good jobs, good lives and good retirements. They deserve that after working their whole lives in service to the public. But they don’t deserve to be carried on the backs of the right to work working people.

That being said, it is time for Conservatives, Constitutionalists, Libertarians and Republicans to join in this fight. Join in to win, not just to yell from the sidelines. Are you ready to save this beloved Republic of ours? Are you willing to do what it takes to keep it from sliding off of the edge of oblivion? Do you want to keep it from being just another former empire cast onto the dung heap of history? Really? Are you?

Here’s start. If you are not over 55 years of age, you will not receive Social Security until after the age of 75. No one except widows and orphans will receive it for any reason until age 75. Really? Is that what your thinking? What about those that can’t work, blau, blau blau… Christopher Reeve worked, Stephan Hawking works.

A flat tax. Everyone pays 15% of their income. That includes local, state and federal taxes. All incomes pay it. No deductions except business expenses. How’s this working for you now.

Unions are all local only. National and international unions will be outlawed.

No government grants, loans, subsidies, handouts or programs. Pay your own damn school tuition. Pay for your own start up art gallery.

Do away with Media Care, MediCad and any other insurance or health care. Buy your own or do without. It’s getting tough now isn’t it? TORT reform will make this work.

Government gets out of TV, movies, news, art and everything else that doesn’t build or repair something. They provide for the “common defense”. Where have I heard that before, hummm! They build roads and infrastructure. Every branch of government is equal to the others. All have to agree on any bill or law. Including the States. If any state decides to opt out, the 10th will cover that move.

Everyone in America works for their own food, housing, and Ipod and laptops. Everyone pays for their own TV and cable. Everyone gets what they work for and no one else has a right to it.

If it aint in the original intent of the Constitution, it aint in the law. Pay your own damn way or do without. Federal government, stay out of the peoples business. It is none of yours. Politicians get 2 terms in each office if their elected by their home state voters. Every term is for 4 years each. Senators are elected by the State legislators and not in the general elections, repeal the 17th and change it back for 4 years.

All judges shall be elected to office every 2 years by local voters. Federal judges shall be elected by state house majority leaders. Even “The Supremes”. Not the singing group.

This will be the new starting platform of my Presidential campaign. But I need 8 years of total control first. To implement these fundamental changes of hope. Changes we can believe in. I feel your pain. Yes we can. Get rid of Biden…(oops, that just slipped in there). If you agree, please send “1 billion dollars” (hold your little finger at corner of mouth while saying) to, elect a knucklehead for President, again, but this time with a birth certificate dot com. Good luck, the world is counting on me.
